His heart is to see people come into a deeper relationship with Jesus through a church culture shaped by Belong, Grow, and Live. Terry is passionate about creating a church where people feel truly at home—welcomed, valued, and part of the family of God. He believes the church should be a place where every person can find belonging in Christ and in community. He is committed to developing leaders and disciples who are deeply rooted in the unchanging Word of God and fully dependent on the Holy Spirit. His desire is to see people grow in maturity, faith, and spiritual authority. Terry carries a strong conviction for the manifest presence of God and the healing power of the Holy Spirit, believing it empowers believers to live out their faith with boldness, compassion, and purpose in everyday life. Terry has been married to his wife Ellen for 42 years. Together they have two children, Mitchell and Melissa, both serving in full-time ministry. In his free time, Terry enjoys long walks with Ellen, spending time with his six grandsons, the great outdoors, and anything with wheels. Join us for an evening of wonderful fellowship, a delicious shared meal, and the excitement of our Live & Silent Auction. It is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the birth of Christ together while making a tangible, life-saving impact in our region. Our Christmas Mission: The Sleeping Bag Drive This year, 100% of the funds raised through our banquet ticket sales and auctions will go directly toward purchasing sleeping bags for the homeless. We are partnering with our home missionaries on the ground in Peterborough and Toronto to deliver these vital supplies before the bitter winter cold sets in. Our goal is to raise $10,000.00 to purchase 250 sleeping bags at $40.00 per bag. Every ticket purchased and every auction bid placed helps keep someone warm this winter! Event Details: Date: Sunday, December 6, 2026 Time: Doors open at 3:30 PM | Banquet begins at 4:00 PM Location: Main Fellowship Hall Ticket Information: Early Bird Special: $17.50 (Available now through November 15) Regular Price: $22.50 (November 16 – November 29) Kids 11 & Under: FREE We Need Your Help: Join the Server Team! When you stop by to purchase your event tickets, please take a moment to sign up on the volunteer sheet located at the back of the church. Thank you for helping us serve those who need it most! We are thrilled to announce our next Water Baptismal Sunday on November 29, 2026, at 10:30 AM. Baptism is a powerful outward expression of an inward transformation. It symbolizes leaving your old life behind and rising to walk in the newness of life with Christ. If you have recently made a decision to follow Jesus, or if you have never been baptized as a believer, this is your perfect next step. We want to celebrate this incredible milestone alongside you, your family, and our church community! Event Details: Date: Sunday, November 29, 2026 Time: 10:30 AM Location: Main Sanctuary / Baptismal Pool How to Register: If you are ready to take this step or simply want to learn more about what baptism means, we would love to connect with you. Please contact Pastor Terry today at tpitt@kingston.net https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/56ce80aef699bb91e5ab07bd/c7457192-34c0-418d-b670-2e8db8c79304/Belong.+Grow.+Live+%281%29.png Ministries & Events - Make it stand out Before Sunday service, join us for Pre-Service Prayer at 10:00 a.m. in the downstairs meeting room. As a church family, we believe prayer prepares our hearts, strengthens us, and creates space for the Holy Spirit to move in powerful ways. Before we begin service together, we want to begin on our knees — seeking God’s presence and praying for lives to be touched, changed, and to find Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/56ce80aef699bb91e5ab07bd/6ec93346-9b8d-4e6c-9c1d-4b4cfb75282a/children%27s+church.png Ministries & Events - Make it stand out We love worshiping together as families! On Sunday mornings, kids begin the service in the auditorium with their parents. After worship, children ages 6–11 are dismissed to the Lower Fellowship Hall, where they’ll enjoy fun, age-appropriate teaching and activities. Our heart is to help every child grow in their love for Jesus and learn how to follow Him in everyday life. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/56ce80aef699bb91e5ab07bd/a6434d5e-d539-4b73-8f9b-94640f3dc610/discipleship+formation.png Ministries & Events - Make it stand out Discipleship Formation: Practicing the Way What does it mean to truly follow Jesus in our modern world? It is more than just attending a service or agreeing with a set of ideas—it is a intentional, lifelong rearrangement of our days around His way of life. We are continuing our Discipleship Formation track at Evangel Church Kingston, centered on the transformative "Practicing the Way" framework. Whether you have been with us from the start or are joining us for the very first time, this series is designed to move us from being mere consumers of religion to active apprentices of Jesus Christ. What to Bring & Next Steps No registration or prior attendance is required. Feel free to jump right into the rhythm with us! We highly recommend bringing a notebook/journal and a physical Bible. https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/56ce80aef699bb91e5ab07bd/c3c54ce8-3dac-4bd0-a669-6c2823a65fa7/converge+youth+%282%29.jpg2.jpg Ministries & Events - Make it stand out Evangel Youth: Wednesday Nights! Our kids’ heart-melting performance of “Silent Night.” Their voices brought true Christmas hope right into the room. Our goal was $9,000 for sleeping bags for the homeless — and thanks to YOUR generosity, we raised $10,240!!! Woohoo! That's 256 Sleeping Bags!!! Your kindness will bring warmth, comfort, and love to those who need it most this winter.
